Instrument & Control Engineer

Main responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performs field inspections and oversees field measurements and data collection;
  • Performs package instrumentation and control systems and electrical systems inspection, planned and corrective maintenance;
  • Performs instrumentation and control systems equipment calibration;
  • Provides front-line support to installation and commissioning activities;
  • Conducts condition monitoring of equipment;
  • Controls systems retrofit and upgrade;
  • Supports and emphasizes the importance of safety and environmental programs and ensures compliance with HSE standards;
  • Initiates/participates in continuous improvement planning and implementation in the assigned area of responsibility;
  • Communicates with customers regarding condition of equipment and repair work scope;
  • Generates and submits timely field service reports;
  • Performs technical duties in area of responsibility;
  • Recognizes problems and is proactive in helping to resolve them;
  • Performs equipment troubleshooting and problem rectification;
  • Evaluates component condition and repair options and performs risk assessment for maintenance activities;
  • Identifies and implements new or existing repair technology in the area of responsibility;
  • Inspects completed work or work in progress to assure job quality, including off-site work performed by vendors at their facilities;
  • Contributes to Computerized Maintenance Management System Program (CMMS);
  • Performs field repairs of driven equipment, pumps, compressors and generators;
  • Identification & diagnosis of control system, power output maximization and all subsequent failures for analysis 
  • Ensure compliance with all company and governmental safety, environmental and health rules and regulations;
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by the Senior Field Service Engineer, including the possibility of occasional workshop-based activities.

Education/experience & Qualification:

  • High school diploma in Instrument and Control Engineering or equivalent;
  • Detailed knowledge of power plant systems and equipment in area of responsibility;
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in rotating equipment onsite maintenance, operations, troubleshooting and repair;
  • Exposure to PLC control systems (Allen Bradley PLC 5, RS/Logix 5000, Turbotronics);
  • Experience in a similar industry is strongly preferred.

Working conditions:

  • Working environments is offshore based;
  • Working schedule is rotation based 14/14.

Mechanical Engineer

Education & experience:

  • High school diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;  
  • Detailed information of power plant systems and equipment in area of responsibility;
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in rotating equipment onsite maintenance, operations, troubleshooting and reapir;
  • Experience in a similar industry is strongly preferred;
  • Strong knowledge on rotating equipment installation/maintenance; philosophy of Gas Turbines and Centrifugal Compressors, and their auxiliaries (lube oil system, fuel gas system, seal gas system, steam system et), and SCADA system.

  • Working environments is offshore based;

Successful candidate should be able to:

  • Reading and understanding Mechanical/Hydraulic Diagrams & General Mechanical Troubleshooting

Main responsibilities:

  • Managing and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specification and QMS requirements;
  • Advancing quantity achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization;
  • Managing the development and implementation of the QMS for planning, fabrication, inspection, documentation and operations activities;

Insulation Supervisor

Main responsibilities:

  • Supervises, manages and supports subcontractor to proceed with construction effectively in accordance with project specification under safe condition;
  • Meets with subcontractor to plan and prioritize insulation work according to established production targets;
  • Schedules, assigns, and plans the work of insulation shop personnel performing a variety of insulation jobs;
  • Estimates material and labor;
  • Monitors the acquisition and use of materials;
  • Coordinates with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues;
  • Directs daily work assignments of an insulation crew;

Main responsibilities:

In connection with the proceedings before the commencement of electrical work:

  • Reviews and action all instrumentation related site queries;
  • Monitor and report on progress of instrumentation installation and hook-up;
  • Carry out instrument inspection and punch out;
  • Supervises, manages and supports subcontractor to proceed with construction effectively in accordance with project specification under safe condition;
  • Supervises and ensures safe condition at construction site in cooperation with safety department;

  • Manage the Planning for the Instrumentation works;
  • Ensures necessary construction drawings and materials in advance of construction implementation;
  • Manages construction progress by checking daily, weekly and monthly work done quantities;
  • Prepares daily, weekly and monthly construction report;
  • Prepares construction M/S (Method Statement) based on specification and requirements;
  • Records B/P (Best Practice) and L/L (Lessons Learned);
  • Coordinates with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.
