Ali Batu was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Nobel Oil Services in 2016. Mr. Batu has more than 30 years international experience in the oil and gas industry, specializing in deepwater operations, project integration, recruitment and strategic development.
He started his career as an engineer in South America, moving to Pemex as Coordinator of Integrated Interpretation Services Project, working in the USA, France and Mexico. He continued his career in the field of Petrophysics in Venezuela and Houston.
In 1996 Mr. Batu joined Caspian Region Schlumberger, where he held a variety of management roles over the years, subsequently transferring to Schlumberger Russia, where he was responsible for five year Strategy Project. He also served as country manager for Schlumberger in Turkey and Ukraine. During his time at the company Mr. Batu worked extensively in Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe, Kazakhstan, Russia and the Caspian region, including Azerbaijan.
Mr. Batu worked on the development, implementation and management of numerous large-scale projects for companies such as ExxonMobil, BP, Petrobras, Chevron, Sonogol, LUKOIL and SOCAR, amongst others. In 2012 Mr. Batu joined Zakum Development Company (ZADCO) as Islands Project Integration Manager in Abu Dhabi, OAE. In 2014 he continued his career in Lukoil Romania as Deepwater Black Sea Integration Project Manager.
Mr. Batu holds BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering and speaks English, Turkish, Russian, Portuguese and Spanish.
Vugar Samadli joined Nobel Oil Services in 2015 as Chief Operating Officer.
He started his career in 2003 in BP as a mechanical engineer and was soon promoted to a leading mechanical engineer. He continued his career in DET-AL Holding as Technical Department Team Leader and Vice chairman in Azerelktroterm ASC. He also worked as an Area Manager and Regional Manager in John Crane ME.
In 2013 Vugar took charge of Oil Gas Proserv, one of Nobel Oil's subsidiaries and soon went on to lead Glensol LLC, another subsidiary within the Group.
Mr. Samadli’s academic background includes B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University, MSME from University of Florida, ESI International. He earned a diploma in Project Management from George Washington University and accomplished Horizon Program (executive MBA for SMITH Group). Mr. Samadli holds Phd in Chemical-Mechanical Engineering.
Eldar joined Nobel Oil Services as the Chief Commercial Officer in 2015.
He started his professional career in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Project Implementation Unit (World Bank), as a Procurement Manager. He continued his career in BP Exploration as a Senior PSCM specialist and was assigned to an Indirect Procurement Category Manager position. He also worked as an Operational Procurement Manager in the Middle East Region (Oman/UAE/Jordan). In AGT region Mr. Mamedzadeh served as an Operational Procurement Manager and GWO Category Delivery Manager.
Prior to joining Nobel Oil Services he worked as a Procurement Materials Logistic Manager in Bahar Energy Operation Company.
Mr. Mamed-zadeh earned his BBA from Azerbaijan Economic University and continued his education in Supply Chain Management at the Chartered İnstitute of Procurement and Supply.
Shamil joined Nobel Oil Services as Chief Engineering and Technology Officer in 2015. Prior to that Mr. Babanli served as Offshore Project Manager in National Oilwell Varco (Houston Texas USA).
He started his career with Head Construction Office of the Baku city. Soon he became Construction Engineer in İndeta Construction/ Rima Construction companies. He served also at Azersun Holding as a Construction Manager.
Mr. Babanli worked over 10 years in BP Exploration & Production as a Senior Project Manager within the country and abroad. Later he worked as Technical Director in SOCAR Azerbaijan ACG Ltd.
Mr. Babanli earned a diploma from İnstitution of Civil engineering in the Azerbaijan Republic and received master degree in civil engineering as well. He earned his MSPM from George Washington University, MSBC from the University of Florida, and MSc in Engineering Management from the University of Manchester.
Zaur joined Legal team of Nobel Oil Services in October 2009. In 2013 he got a rise to a position of Senior Lawyer and in 2015 Zaur was promoted to Group Legal Manager.
Zaur has over fifteen years experience in oil and gas, corporate and business legislation, including Legal Consulting and Assistance, Foundation, Liquidation, Licenses, Acquisition, Reorganization, Litigation.
Mr. Mammadzade started his professional career with TBS Consultancy Ltd as Deputy to Director and Assistant to Attorney in the Branch Office in Baku, Azerbaijan, to become Director and Attorney-at-Law. In 2003 he transferred to “Karasu Operating Company”. Then Mr. Mammadzade continued his legal career with “Global Energy Azerbaijan Management Ltd”.
Mr. Mammadzade earned B.A. in International Relations within the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences and LL.M from “Khazar University”, Baku, Azerbaijan. He holds a number of international Diplomas, including The Certificate of International Law Institute on Legal Research and Writing in George Town University, Washington, D.C., USA, The Certificate of Baker Botts (UK) LLP from Confidence Capital, London, UK, in “Oil & Gas Lawyer School” Training Course, and The Certificate from ADA University, Baku, Azerbaijan, in Negotiation Skills Corporate Training Program.
Ellada Alishova joined Nobel Oil Services as Group HR Manager in 2016. Mrs. Alishova is an established HR professional with more than 10 years corporate experience in Employment Law interpretation and Staff Retention Policy. She has a successful track record in developing proactive recruitment practices to improve minority selection, and was recognized for her achievement in a dispute resolution processes.
Mrs. Alishova started her career as HR Manager in TYCO Fire & Integrated Solutions. In 2011 Mrs. Alishova joined Amec Services, later - Intertek Global Limited, as an Operations Manager, where she managed organization about 600 professionals and worked on a merger of Intertek and Moody International.
Prior to joining Nobel Oil Services, she worked as Group HR Director at Synergy Group, where she was managing HR departments of 22 subsidiary companies with about 1400 personnel. She also led Group Audit function to ensure the company’s compliance with Group Policies, Azerbaijan employment law and international practices.
Mrs. Alishova holds BA in International Relations and Law from Baku State University, MsC in Human Resource Management from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and an MBA from State Economic University in Baku. She is a member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) since 2008.
Mrs. Alishova teaches Strategic Human Resource Management, Change Management at Executive Education of ADA University.
