Nobel Oil Services, a leading service provider to the oil & gas industry announced the appointment of Sergey Bazhanov as the company's new Group Financial Controller.
Mr. Bazhanov brings to the company more than 20 years of professional experience, having led financial, commercial and business operations of a number of international oil and gas firms.
Mr. Bazhanov will oversee corporate finance, accounting, risk management and reporting for Nobel Oil Services ensuring a sound finance operation across all company’s subsidiaries.
Mr. Bazhanov started his career in finance as a senior audit in Arthur Andersen and audit manager in PWC. Later he held the position of Finance Manager in Gazprom and HESS. Mr. Bazhanov served as CFO for NORDRILL LTD, where he was in charge of design and implementation of finance processes and controls over all business operations. Mr. Bazhanov was also CFO for RUSCOMPOZIT, where he was responsible for sales and operations in all affiliated structures. Most recently, Mr. Bazhanov served as Group Finance Manager in the region of Middle East for Qaiwan Group, where he was responsible for all aspects of financial management and implementation of internal control environment across all allocated divisions within the group.
His academic background includes BA in Economics and Accounting from Moscow State University and MBA in Finance from the University of London. He is a member of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
